48 individual interviews filmed and photographed over 2 days for I Am An Immigrant. Instead of focusing solely on immigrant strife and the otherification of the immigrant experience, we wanted to tell the stories of immigrants and allies to which humans of all nationalities and backgrounds could relate. "Out of many, we are one."

“This year marks the seventh annual Immigrant Heritage Month, an opportunity to celebrate immigrants and immigration, our heritage, and the countless contributions that immigrants have made and continue to make to our nation. Right now, millions of individuals with immigrant backgrounds are working tirelessly to keep our communities healthy and safe. However, we refuse to ignore what is going on in this country, that is why the I Stand With Immigrants initiative is showing up more intentionally to stand with and listen to Black organizers, and to use our platforms to support, defend, and value Black lives and Black communities. We want to uplift those voices while also encouraging people to engage and interact with one another by sharing their immigrant heritage story! Join us at IAmAnImmigrant.com.”
“This year’s project, ‘Out of Many, We Are One’ features the unique voices of dozens of artists and activists sharing their stories – including those with immigrant backgrounds, new Americans, and those whose families have been a part of the American experience for generations. Throughout June, we will join people across the country in celebrating all of the tangible and intangible aspects of heritage that connect immigrants to our countries of origin, to each other, and to this country. Specifically, we will uplift aspects of heritage that resonate and are important to each of us, no matter our immigration status or where we originally come from: community, love, family, and food.”
